Wardrobe tip: Make your own style board in minutes

May 3, 2017

It’s time to create your own spring/ summer capsule wardrobe! If you have no idea if you need to purchase anything at all, then I would definitely recommend you to follow today’s guide. Making your own style board will help you to get rid of everything that you don’t need and give you a clear vision on what you own. Stop wasting money on stuff that will only take over more space in your wardrobe. It’s such a waste of time, energy and money. You can better invest that in something else :). Like saving it up for your dream trip. Everything is possible, right?

The benefits of a capsule wardrobe

Creating my own capsule wardrobe was one of the best things that I could do. It helped me to:

  • clean up my closets
  • minimize my wardrobe
  • define my own style
  • save up money

and makes me feel so much more relaxed. Minimalism is really a great way to declutter your mind from the busy, Western lifestyle. That moment that you realize that you don’t need anything, that you already have everything you need, is breathtaking. It’s such a satisfying thing that you know that you have enough. I don’t have the words to explain how peaceful this feels.

Buy inconvenience, I saw a post of a girl that created her own capsule wardrobe thanks to Polyvore. This website is super easy to use. Sign in and make your own account, upload pictures of your favorite items or search in the database of the website. It will help you to create your own little mood board. What I totally love about this concept- which is really smart for Polyvore to do- is that you can immediately purchase everything you like. For me, this is not an option. I mean a bag for more than 1.000 dollars? Well, no thank you! Unfortunately, Polyvore doesn’t work with sustainable brands otherwise it would be a great way to make sets with your favorite, sustainable clothing. For now, I just use it as a convenient vision board that helps me to stick with my own style.
